Packing TC Electronic's entire delay legacy into a single compact pedal, the Flashback 2 Delay and Looper from TC Electronic offers eight diverse delays FX, including analog tape and polyphonic Crystal delay and 40 sec mono / 20 sec stereo looping. And with the MASH footswitch, you get pressure-sensitive control with a mere stomp of your foot.
The 3-way switch provides three different delay subdivisions: 1/4 note, dotted 1/8 note, and combination mode. Stereo I/O lets you process stereo signals, generate stereo delay FX, and even use an external pedal for syncing to tap tempo via the second input. Years in the making, and only available in select TC Electronic products, this clever innovation elevates the common footswitch above the mundane duties of just on and off�MASH elevates your performance to the next level.
Crystal Delay and More
Flashback 2 Delay's Crystal effect uses the same algorithm as the Sub 'N' Up Octaver. By shifting the pitch up an octave through each feedback loop, Crystal delay creates an otherworldly shimmer that simply has to be experienced. And you can choose from a total of 8 stunning delay options, including hyperrealistic Tape, Modern, Reverse, and much more.
Performance Looper
With the looper built into your Flashback 2, you can record and play back grooves and lines for playing along. You can even overdub your recording an unlimited number of times.
TonePrint Ready
The TonePrint app allows you to beam FX directly to your device, including signature delays from some of the most revered icons of rock and roll. If you want something a bit more original, you can easily create your own via the free TonePrint Editor for PC, Mac, and iPad. And since good things often come in threes, Flashback 2 Delay provides 3 dedicated TonePrint slots to save your favorites.
Delay Types
- 2290: based on the classic 2290 delay, with this FX MASH is assigned to raise the feedback and input level, effectively freezing the last repetition until you release the footswitch for a hold effect
- Ana: this reworked analog mode boosts feedback with the MASH switch and turns down delay time for self-oscillation madness that sends the pitch flying
- Tape: using the classic and realistic Tape mode, MASH controls delay time and boosts feedback to the maximum for epic space echo feedback
- Dyn: with the Dynamic Delay algorithm, MASH controls the gate threshold, meaning that pushing the MASH switch down removes the gate, leaving you with a normal 2290 delay
