Kolari Vision EF-EOS R with VND Filter Overview
This Kolari Vision kit includes the EF-EOS R Drop-In Lens Adapter and a VND Drop-In Filter. The adapter is compatible with the Canon EOS R, R5, R6, and RP. It attaches to the RF mount of the camera and allows you to attach EF-mount lenses as well as install various filters from Kolari, like the included VND filter. It also supports Canon filters that are designed for their own EF-EOS R Drop-In Adapter. (The included VND filter is likewise compatible with the Canon adapter.) Please note, the Kolari adapter only functions properly when a filter is inserted.
The drop-in adapter was carefully designed to provide precise register distance for optimal focus and sharpness when using your lenses with drop-in filters. The light baffled interior helps reduce stray reflections, and the exterior offers an effective weather seal against the lens and drop-in filters. The adapter features an aluminum shell with a rugged knurled traction grip.
The VND Drop-In Filter is a 2- to 10-stop variable ND filter. It provides smooth, clickless transition between 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 stops. The frame is aluminum and the optics are glass with AR/AS coatings for increased transmission, reduced reflections, and easy cleaning. The filter has a wide grip and offers a lanyard attachment point for your convenience. Also, it's thickness-matched to minimize focus shift.
When the VND filter is used with certain ultra-wide lenses, you may see a color cast or X effect at 8, 9, and 10 stops.
