iStarUSA S-21 Overview
The S-21 Compact Stylish Mini-ITX Enclosure from iStarUSA offers high capacity and extreme performance. It is specifically designed for use in the entertainment and industrial fields. It is compatible with next generation cooling performance and the full range of 6.7 x 6.7" (17 x 17 cm) Mini-ITX motherboards. Its main chassis is made of cold-rolled steel that can hold either two 2.5" hard disk drives or one 3.5"* hard disk drive. It is crafted with a smooth aluminum front panel to achieve a generous feeling of substance by minimizing gaps and holes. Moreover, the enclosure is RoHS compliant.
The enclosure features two front access USB 2.0 ports, LEDs for power on and HDD activity, power and alarm reset switches, a full height expansion slot (riser card required) and one optional 80mm ball bearing cooling fan for whisper quiet operation. Its strategically placed side ventilation protects the equipment from heat damage. Everything in this enclosure is either covered or hidden that makes it look clean.

Solidly Built
This is a great compact case. It is exceptionally well built for the price. Ventilation could be better. I cut a hole in the top to mount a 120 mm fan that blows onto the CPU heatsink. Had to sacrifice the HDD mounts for that, but I didn't need those mounts anyway.
Sturdy, high quality case, airflow is another story
Using this for a pfsense build. Airflow is non-existent. The top cover could have been perforated and it would be okay. The front exhaust 80mm fan (they recommend you to use a slim version at 15mm) is almost completely blocked by the front design. The inlet 60mm fan would be blocked by the PCI riser card. I find these design choices very confusing. Fix these issues and this would be a totally 5 star case. It's one of the few on the market that's mini-itx and has an expansion slot! But such a bummer it has airflow issues.
