API AUDIO TRNZFR Overview
Placing API Audio's legendary EQ circuitry into a guitar-friendly pedal chassis, the TranZformer GTR is an EQ and boost pedal sporting 3-band EQ with ?15 dB of gain per band and up to 40 dB of clean boost. With a switchable drive circuit, you can flip between a clean boost and op-amp-powered overdrive circuit with absolute ease.
Switches are included on the TranZformer GTR for selecting a -20 dB output pad and for switching between peak or shelving functions for the high-frequency band. The bands on tap include 200 Hz, 1.5 kHz, and 5 kHz, with the mid and low frequencies being shelving types. The footswitch engages a buffered bypass, which is ideal for maintaining signal integrity during long cable runs or complex pedalboard configurations.
